Many cultural values and practices of Indigenous Peoples’ is still remembered by the elders, and needs to be passed on to the youth.
For the values and cultural practices to be remembered, it must be actively practiced. So we help facilitate culture revitalization workshops.

Assistive Services
Back-to-School Program
In 2021 UANSS created a Back-to-School Program by helping 23 students with back-to-school supplies and backpacks with funds they raised through fundraising activities. The number of students UANSS helps increases each year. In 2024 we helped 153 students! This is only possible with fundraising all year long. We facilitate fundraising activities through events and markets, donated items to sell at craft fairs, flea markets, and garage sales. These are posted on The Gathering Place Facebook Page and UANSS Merchandise selling page.
Driver Services
We also provide transportation services to doctor and specialist appointments for Urban Indigenous Peoples’. This is only possible through our fundraising efforts. If you find yourself in a bind and need a ride to see your doctor or have a specialist appointment, please reach out by email to general@uanss.com for assistance. NOTE: UANSS requires at least 48 hours notice to assist.
